How we're responding to COVID-19

As the COVID-19 virus continues to impact us all, keeping you, your kids, and our team safe and healthy remains our top priority.
We are still closely monitoring the Government of Alberta website as well as Alberta Health Services to stay up-to-date on the latest details to ensure we are doing what we can to help flatten the curve. We also recognize that cautious steps need to be taken to re-open our economy, but we will never put economics ahead of the safety of you, your kids and our team.
Since March 16, we have been running all of our music lessons and rock bands online. We are constantly adapting and looking for ways to make your Backbeat online experience the best it can be.
Here is a snapshot of our online reality these days:
- We continue to operate within our regular operating hours (Monday through Saturday). While our physical space remains closed to the general public, we are alive and kicking in the online world.
- Our online private lessons are giving us the chance to connect with our students face-to-face on a weekly basis.
- Our rock bands are working on cool band recording projects in place of their regular group jams.
- Little Beats is running full steam ahead…online! Our mini rockers are delving into the world of songwriting and will be hosting their own album release party at the end of their session.
As we look ahead, we are working to confirm final details for year-end performances as well as Summer Rock Camp. As soon as these details are ready, we will be sharing them with you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who have continued on this journey with us. Thanks to you, we have been able to keep doing what we do and making awesome music. We know there are many unknowns in the months to come, but our team steps forward knowing we’re surrounded by an incredible and supportive community.
Thank you, Backbeat family. We are so grateful for you.
