JOIN A ROCK BAND

THIS IS WHERE EVERYTHING CHANGES.

MUSIC DOESN'T HAVE TO BE AN INDIVIDUAL SPORT.

For too long, learning music has been something kids have had to do as a solo pursuit. Especially as they get older and more serious about their music, private lessons have traditionally been their only option. Not anymore.

ROCK BAND Q & A

Because it's fun!

Joining a rock band gives your child a really cool opportunity to apply what their learning in their private lessons to the context of playing live music with other kids. Not to mention, it provides great motivation to practice.

Rock Band also gives your child the chance to learn about teamwork and will help develop their confidence in a whole new way.

Generally rock band instrumentation includes the drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.

Depending on the band, there could be various combinations of the above instruments. For example, multiple guitar players, a keyboard standing in for the bass or a drummer who also doubles as the band's lead singer. Each Backbeat band is unique!

As much as we want to find the perfect band for every child right away, due to high demand, this isn't always possible.

If we don't currently have the right band for your child, we will place them on a waiting list and let you know as soon as a good spot opens up.

We would rather wait and give your child a great first experience playing with a band versus the opposite.

A little bit of everything.

Band members often get to choose the songs they play based on the music they like. We literally have hundreds of charts to pick from!

Band leaders will also recommend songs to challenge the band and help them become better musicians.

Given the group nature of playing in a rock band, we generally ask that rock band members commit to playing with their band until after any upcoming rock shows.

If after the show, your child needs to take a break from things, we simply ask that you let us know by the 15th of the month before you need to cancel to avoid any sort of penalty.
